Lovely boutique hotel in the heart of North Creek. Super cozy, clean and quiet. Great service. I'll be back every time I visit family in The ADK.

It's a beautiful place. I loved my room. At the beginning I was a little bit unsure because it was located next to the main street but it's not so busy during the night. They also would have offered me a room in the middle for just 10$ more. Great service and such a lovely decorated clean room! A small supermarket is near by (2min drive, 10min walk) with erything you need. They offer you a lot of streaming services on such a big TV. I can highly recommend that place.
Adorable hotel in one of the most beautiful places on earth!!Comfortable beds, cozy room, home-y touches just made this place such a treat to stay overnight! So convenient to everything and so reasonably priced! Honestly wish we had been able to stay a few more nights! Just lovely!

Our first time in Lake Placid and not our last! I loved this hotel so much, I can’t wait to come back. Slept like babies. The bed is so comfortable! Kayaks, canoes and paddle boards are available, this was a big plus! The lady who checked us in was wonderful. I have no complaints at all, this place was a 10.

Loved everything about Placid Bay Hotel. The location, the views, the amenities, nearly everything was perfect. The breakfast/check in room was really nice and thoughtful as well. The room was clean and comfortable and decorated nicely- and the fireplace made it extra cozy in the colder fall weather. I would definitely stay there again and would recommend it to anyone- we actually wished we had more time there. If you are visiting in the fall, highly recommend enjoying your coffee/breakfast on the dock out back with the friendly ducks. Lake Placid is a beautiful Adirondack town and Placid Bay Hotel is the perfect place to relax after a day of exploring.

Updated, beautiful and very clean rooms. Check in is a breeze, they email you your door code with everything you need to know and you let yourself into the room at your leisure. There are lawn games behind the hotel with a big grassy area for kids to play. Also in the back there is a beautiful outdoor fireplace to enjoy after a long day hiking or exploring.

Story from our Founder

Why We’re Here

Weekender was founded by Keir Weimer in the spring of 2021 with a bold vision to inspire the next generation of traveler to adventure more into the great outdoors; to roam freely and explore new areas and activities; to find and nurture their passions; and to connect with themselves, those they love, and the world around them more deeply.

Keir and the Weekender team invite you to experience for yourself the freedom of the great outdoors, the power of connecting with others and experiencing new things, the joy of a life lived on purpose, and the transformation available through adventure.

Whether it’s that sense of adventure you get when you head into the great outdoors; the calm and sense of place you feel by slowing down and watching the sunrise; or the feeling of community and friendship as you gather around a warm campfire, Weekender is here to bring the energy, emotion, and nostalgia of “the weekend” to the center of our guests’ lives.
